The bay of Saint-Tropez is a place where it is good to recharge with loved ones. We are blessed there with the beauty of natural landscapes, starting with the beaches, such as those of Escalet or Pampelonne, or, of course, the Great Blue. Whether staying in Ramatuelle, Grimaud, Cogolin or Gassin, you also have a large choice of luxury campsites that are among the most coveted addresses in the Var. These starred open-air hotels are appreciated for their idyllic location, their water park, their restaurants, their wellness space, the modernity and comfort of their rental accommodations, etc. To give you an overview, we have selected three of the campsites with water parks that have a good reputation in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
Cap Taillat, Ramatuelle
The Cap Taillat campsite offers vacationers luxury vacations in a zen atmosphere, as close to nature as possible. This four-star open-air establishment highlights its bucolic location, particularly its proximity to Escalet beach (700 meters away), one of the most sought-after in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Presenting itself as a human-sized campsite, the estate offers modern and comfortable accommodations as well as well-equipped pitches.
This campsite in Ramatuelle stretches over an area of just over 1.2 hectares. It contains only two pitches and fifty-six rentals. Cap Taillat chooses to limit their number to remain consistent with its status as an intimate campsite.
The pitches for tents and motorhomes are spacious and shaded. The plots are also connected to the domain’s water and electric networks. In the rentals, residents have access to appreciated comfort elements. Among these, we can notably mention the flat-screen TV with access to French and international channels, WiFi connection, air conditioning or even the dishwasher.
The Var open-air hotel also offers various practical services. Residents can, for example, obtain various tourist information at reception. The latter is also responsible for the rental of barbecues or baby kits. Campers can also visit the snack bar of the estate, between mid-June and the end of August. The grocery-bakery, meanwhile, welcomes the public from May to September.
The aquatic space of Cap Taillat includes a mirror-effect pool of nearly 100 m2. It also features an aquatic playground area for the youngest, as well as a solarium with loungers… Campers also find their happiness in the spa area of the estate, with its whirlpool bath and hammam; the wellness space is the place where you benefit from many body treatments, including massages.
Domaine des Naïades, Grimaud
Like many standing campsites in Saint-Tropez, the Domaine des Naïades enjoys a privileged location, situated notably 900 meters from Grimaud beach. This four-star open-air establishment welcomes tourists in a wooded park of 15 hectares. It also offers them modern, spacious and well-equipped rentals. Residents also enjoy an aquatic space comprising an Olympic pool, a recreational basin and giant water slides…
Vacationers have a choice among a wide range of comfortable mobile homes. Appreciated for both their exterior design and interior layout, the 4-bedroom Villas can accommodate up to eight people; the Premium Villas, meanwhile, benefit from air conditioning and are equipped with a television, and many other comfort elements.
In the Olympic pool of the water park, residents can swim lengths while young people enjoy water slides. In season, aquagym sessions and muscle awakening sessions are organized in the pool each morning; campers can sometimes also participate in water polo tournaments.
The stay is also an opportunity to discover the surroundings, campers being able to notably easily reach Port-Grimaud or Cogolin beach, two popular sites that share the bottom of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Gassin, which is among the “most beautiful villages in France”, is 15 minutes’ drive from the campsite. The path leading there leads to the seaside resort of La Croix-Valmer where, like in other nearby destinations, namely Le Lavandou or Sainte-Maxime, you can enjoy beautiful beaches and a coast of exceptional beauty.
Parc Saint James – Montana, Gassin
The Parc Saint James – Montana campsite welcomes visitors in an estate of 31 hectares of pine forest. The Var establishment highlights its proximity to the village of Gassin, which by the way is one of the most sought-after destinations in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, and Cogolin beach (three kilometers away). Campers are satisfied with its water park, with its two pools, whirlpool bath, water garden and water slides. The children’s club as well as the various leisure and sports facilities also delight young and old.
The Parc Saint James – Montana has pitches of 50 to 100 m2 to accommodate tents, caravans or motorhomes. These plots are shaded by the trees of the estate and separated from each other by hedges. Residents can also choose from the Var establishment’s rental units, mobile homes or bungalows that all have, among other comfort elements, a semi-covered terrace.
The restaurant, bar and snack of the estate also welcome the public. The latter can also take advantage of the takeaway service, shop at the grocery store or the bread depot of the campsite.
