Camping Carpe Diem spreads its 463 pitches over wooded, hilly grounds typical of Provence, located on Route de St Marcellin in Vaison-la-Romaine, in the Vaucluse. The 4-star campsite is 1.5 km from the centre of Vaison-la-Romaine, 45 km from Avignon and 30 km from Orange, making it a strategic base for exploring the whole of historic Provence.
Some pitches on the higher parts of the grounds offer a stunning view over the medieval town of Vaison-la-Romaine, its counts’ castle and its Roman remains. Camping Carpe Diem is affiliated with the Capfun group and welcomes holidaymakers from 3 April to 27 September 2026, for a season of almost six months. The site is accessible to pets (2 maximum, on a leash and vaccinated, certain breeds not allowed) for an extra charge. ANCV Connect is accepted as a means of payment. However, Camping Carpe Diem is not VACAF-approved.
Camping Carpe Diem has all the services needed for a hassle-free stay. A restaurant is open from April to September, as well as during the All Saints’ school holidays, serving from 12pm to 2pm and 7pm to 9:30pm in low season. A bar-snack welcomes holidaymakers from mid-April to September, from 9am to 10pm in low season, for refreshing breaks or quick meals.
An on-site grocery shop lets you do your shopping without leaving the campsite (supermarkets also available 800 m away). Camping Carpe Diem also offers a laundry service (washing machine €6, dryer €4), bed linen rental (€11 single, €16 double per change), towel rental (€8 per change) and a full baby kit (high chair, cot, bath) for €30/week in high season or €10/week in low season.
Wifi is free throughout the campsite, including on the pitches. A games room, safe rental (€4/day) and permission for electric and gas barbecues round out the amenities. Visitor access (excluding the pool) is charged at €4 per person per day.
Camping Carpe Diem puts the emphasis on entertainment and conviviality, especially during the Violette Fun Dose (high season, from 6 July to 28 August 2026). The Club Clapou welcomes children aged 4 to 6 four days a week (10am-12pm and 3pm-5pm), the Club Politicator welcomes 7-10 year-olds at the same pace, and the Nobodys offer 11-17 year-olds at least two weekly get-togethers. In high season, expect also a morning water wake-up, four evening shows a week, sports tournaments, family games and outdoor performances.
On site, Camping Carpe Diem has playgrounds, inflatables, a multi-sports pitch, petanque courts and freely accessible table tennis tables. Right nearby, holidaymakers can enjoy cycle paths (500 m), a golf course (500 m), a treetop adventure park (300 m), tennis courts (1.5 km) and numerous hiking trails (2 km).
