Founded more than 70 years ago, Camping du Viaduc is a 4-star Camping Paradis-labelled property located in Millau, in the Aveyron, within a wooded 4-hectare estate directly on the banks of the Tarn river. Its prime location, just a stone’s throw from the famous Millau Viaduct, the Tarn gorges and the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, makes it one of the best-located campsites in the south of France.
The campsite offers a swimming pool, direct access to the Tarn river for natural swimming, a restaurant open from 1 May, and regular entertainment throughout the season (barbecue evenings, circus shows…). The Tarn Gorges and the Jonte Gorges are among the most beautiful gorges in France, to be explored on foot, by canoe or by kayak.
The Grands Causses Regional Nature Park offers sublime views and unspoilt nature for hiking, mountain biking and discovering the local flora and fauna. Roquefort-sur-Soulzon and its famous Roquefort AOP cheese ageing caves are accessible in around twenty minutes from the campsite.
The Dargilan Cave, the rock formations of Montpellier-le-Vieux and the Dourdou canyon are among the must-see natural sites in the surrounding area. Millau itself, with its museum, weekly market and glove-making craftsmen, is well worth exploring on foot from the campsite.
